I don't know about you, but I was that kid who always looked forward to the first day of school. Oh, I talked a good game about not wanting summer to end and dreading homework, but the truth is that the first day of school was always fun. We got to meet our new teacher who ingratiated his or herself by taking it easy on us. We got to share what we did over the summer and play fun get-to-know-each-other-all-over-again games. Add that to lunch and recess and the first day was a breeze. The second day: a different story, but the first day was always good times. Whew! No fun, right! Hence, my proposal to bring back the fun first day. Your employees are your most valuable asset and you never get a second chance to make a first impression, so make their first day a day they will remember. Follow the jump to find out how.
